Dr. Lauren Massey-Williams is a 2009 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Although growing up mainly in the Midwest, her father is a Charlotte native. She, along with her husband, Ricky, and her now seven-year-old daughter, relocated to Shelby to be closer to family where they have now resided for the past five years.

The first four years of Dr. Massey-Williams’ career were devoted to public health dentistry, and caring for the community continues to be the paramount focus of her practice. Additionally, she strives to stay at the forefront of dental technology and is experienced in CAD CAM dentistry, implant placement and restoration, and laser gingival therapy. She believes that oral health plays a vital role in overall well-being and wants all of her patients to live their best life.

Dr. Massey-Williams continues to display her devotion to dentistry through her involvement with the American Association of Women Dentists as NC Chapter President, the Academy of General Dentistry Communications as a Council Member, and the Seattle Study Club as a Member. The Seattle Study Club is an international network of dental professionals interested in furthering their knowledge and providing excellent care. Dr. Massey-Williams and her fellow members work every day to help each other strengthen their practices, enhance relations with peers, and increase their impact on the dental community. Additionally, Dr. Massey-Williams has continued her education through advanced comprehensive digital dentistry training with CDOCS Dental Education.

“My family and I moved to Shelby in 2018 and fell in love with the community.  I care deeply not only about my patients, but also the continued growth and development of Cleveland County. It has been an honor to share my commitment to oral health care with my amazing partners, Drs. Kendalyn Lutz-Craver and Sara Karner. Together we will continue to provide state-of-the-art oral healthcare as well as philanthropy and community leadership” said Dr. Massey-Williams.

In her spare time, Dr. Massey-Williams enjoys exercise, traveling, cooking, and being a Girl Scout Mom. Additionally, she runs Cool Moms of Cleveland County and is a Dover YMCA Board Member.
